Project Goals

Science Colab aims to provide an ecosystem in which research findings are openly communicated and their significance recognised independently of publication venue. Science Colab will use a ‘Publish, Review, Curate’ (PRC) model to accelerate communication of research findings, increase transparency in peer review, and improve equity and inclusivity in knowledge exchange.

Deliverables

Science Colab will launch its first colab group, Biophysics Colab in 2024. Biophysics Colab is a collaboration of biophysicists whose goal is to improve the way in which original research is evaluated and disseminated. By combining the knowledge and expertise of the biophysics community with the principles of open science, Biophysics Colab will provide an equitable, inclusive, and transparent environment for peer review. The initiative will provide constructive feedback on publicly available preprints with the ability to finalise a version of record so that researchers can form the best possible interpretation of their data.
