Research Output & Contributorship Management
With data and output sharing, it’s crucial to develop common schemas and nomenclature to decribe, define, and tag research outputs and contributorship in order to manage, track, discover, reuse and meta-analyze the growing number of outputs.
Goals
- Devise an extensible wiki of research output and contributor management schemas to normalize nomenclature and build reusable open taxonomies
- Assist funders, institutions, agencies, repositories in adopting a common Research Output Management Schema (ROMS) and use of Persistent Identifiers (PIDs)
- Build out resourcing and tool chain needed to implement early output sharing on scale
- Work with consumers of ROMS/PIDs data on how ROMS data as well as impact measures of ROMS items can inform assessment, funding decisions and tenure and promotion
