Project Goals

Openscapes’ approach is based on the idea that by adopting open practices and fostering a supportive community, researchers can achieve more impactful and sustainable results. Openscapes aims to support:

  • Open practices: Encouraging researchers to share their data, code, and methods openly to enhance transparency and reproducibility.
  • Community-centered leadership: Fostering a sense of community and belonging among researchers, and empowering them to take on leadership roles.
  • Collaborative teamwork: Promoting effective collaboration among researchers from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.
  • Technical skill-building: Providing opportunities for researchers to develop the technical skills needed to work with data and open-source tools.
