Open Access Publishing
In the context of the 2022 Whilte House OSTP memo on open access, a new wave of OA publishing is coming and organizations, funders, and institutions need to work together to provide pathways to diamond and green OA, to support increased nonprofit and institution-based OA publishing, and to research costs and best practices.
Goals
Identify pathways towards OA and methods to best faciliate and support those that are aligned with collaborative open research values and principles. Work with open infrastructure builders, service providers, and nonoprofit pubishing efforts to launch, grow, scale up mission-aligned OA publishing channels. Expand beyond traditional journals and books into more flexible, versionable, forms of research communication.
